Arrangements for operating air Courier Services for Kargil finalized

 

Srinagar, Nov.29.Arrangements for operating Srinagar-Kargil-Jammu Courier Services by Air force AN-32 for the facility of Kargil people were finalized at a high level meeting of Officers here today. The operation of Courier service is expected early next month.

The meeting presided over by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Samoan, was attended by representatives of Air Force, SRTC, CRPF, besides Special Secretary in Chief Minister’s Private Office, Director Srinagar Airport  Authority, SP Anti Hijacking Srinagar Airport, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar & Bandipore, OSD with Div Com Kashmir and Liaison Officer of AN-32 Kargil Courier Service Srinagar.

Divisional Commissioner urged the all upon all the concerned departments to work with better coordination by keeping monitoring and supervision on the flight operations both from Srinagar and Kargil for the facility of passengers.

He further said proper liaison has to be ensured with Airforce authorities at Srinagar, Jammu. Udhapmpur and Chandigarh during this period.

He asked the SRTC authorities to ply bus services from Kargil House Bemina to Airport and back. The Health Department was directed to make available ambulance at the airport for ferrying patients if needed.

            Divisional Commissioner nominated ADC, Bandipora, SDM,Gurez and SDM, Zanaskar as Nodal Officers for providing tickets to the passengers.
