Cabinet okays appointment of Shri Madhav Lal as Chief Secretary J&K
Budget session from Feb 28
JANUARY 28: The State Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah approved summoning of J&K Legislative Assembly and the J&K Legislative Council at Jammu for the Budget Session 2011-2012 from February 28, 2011. It also approved appointment of Mr. Madhav Lal, IAS (JK:77 batch) as Chief Secretary of the State.
Rates fixed for Urban/Rural land.
Srinagar, January 28:- According to a notification issued by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, the market rates of land in respect of Urban and Rural areas of Kashmir Division have been notified on the basis of information communicated by the concerned Deputy Commissioners.
The rates shall come into force from January 01, 2011
Action taken against 27 absent employees
Srinagar, January 28:- On the instructions of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, a team of officers headed by Additional Commissioner, Mr Abdul Majid Wani conducted surprise inspection of 16 offices in Pampore, Awantipore and Tral. As many as 27 employees were found un-authorisidly absent from the duty and action under rules was initiated against absentees.
The team while checking Block Development Office Pampore found only two Class IVth employees present in the office.
The team also inspected various ration depots in these areas and expressed satisfaction over the distribution system.
