World Meteorological Day celebrated

 

Srinagar 23.3.2011:

World Meteorological Day was celebrated today at Met Centre Ram Bagh, Srinagar . Students & teachers from various schools of Srinagar participated in the programme. Mr Shyam, DIG CRPF and Aamir Ali, Head Disaster Management interacted with the students. The programme was organised by Sonum Lotus, Director Met Centre Srinagar and his team.  

Students expressed keen interest in various weather monitoring equipments and asked various questions about the functioning of various equipments and tools used for weather forecasting. The students envinced keen interest in Seismograph equipment used for measuring earthquakes.
