Com Kashmir holds Video Conference with DCs to ensure Supply

February 19: During the review meeting held with all HODs and Deputy
Commissioners by the Chief Secretary it was brought to his notice
that the scale of ration announced by Govt is not being followed
uniformly in all districts. In order to discuss the issue the
Divisional Commissioner,
Director CAPD attended the Video Conference from Baramulla where he
held a detailed meeting with DC Baramulla, Public representatives,
LPG Dealers, FP Shops, Koil dealers, Traders and officials of CAPD.
All the DCs informed that adequate stock of rations is available in
the Districts. Instructions were given for maintaining one month’s
buffer stock in the godowns. DC Kargil & DC Leh informed that
they had sufficient stocks till opening of the road.
Div Com directed that ration should be supplied to the consumers at
the rate fixed by the Govt. it was informed that APL card holders
are eligible to get rations at the rate of 25 kgs rice and 10 kgs
atta. The consumers can take additional 10 kgs rice in case atta is
not available. Consumers of BPL & AAY are eligible for getting
35 kgs rice. Sugar is to be issued at 700 gms. per soul, as per the
Ration card. Div Com directed DCs to conduct random check of the
ration ghats.
Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara informed that the post of Asst Director
CAPD Kupwara is vacant since long, due to which the monitoring of
distribution of ration has been affected. Div Com assured that the
matter would be taken up with the Govt for posting of Asst Director
in Kupwara.
Div Com also directed DC Budgam to ensure that the public grievances
are redressed at the earliest. He instructed DC Budgam to ensure
that the road upto Yusmarg is got repaired so that Tourists and
locals do not face any difficulties. The road has been taken up
under PMGSY. Div Com directed DC Pulwama & DC Kupwara to visit
Tral & Lolab respectively, alongwith CAPD officials as he had
received complaints of irregular distribution from these areas. DC
Pulwama wa directed to inspect the FCI Godown at Lethpora and direct
FCI to ensure adequate buffer stock, as per the capacity of the
Godown.
