Samoon reviewed the implementation of rehabilitation programme
for the
families affected due to the construction of power house at
Kralpora
Bandipora and Dam in Gurez for the national level 330 MW
Kishan Ganga Hydro
Electric Project, at a high level officers meeting held at
Bandipora, today.
MLA Gurez Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi, Deputy Commissioner
Bandipora
Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone, authorities of NHPC and HCC besides
senior level
officers attended the meeting. The meeting discussed
threadbare
rehabilitation programme for the affectees of power project in
Gurez and
Bandipora.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, informed that Rs 16.46 Cr. has
already been paid to the land owners acquired for power house
at Kralpora as
compensation of 755 Kanala of Land. He also presented details
of the roadmap
for rehabilitation of affected families in Gurez due to the
construction of
Dam for Project besides providing basic facilities to the
rehabilitation in
these villages.
Divisional Commissioner on the occasion enquired about
bottlenecks under way in implementing the rehabilitation
programme
formulated for these affected families and assured that
administration would
take necessary measures for providing successor to the
affectees of the
project in Gurez and Bandipora. He said NHPC has now released
Rs 5.45 Cr. as
20% compensation for the land owners and instructions have
been given for
its distribution to land owners. He assured that the people
affected in
Gurez due to the project would be rehabilitated on priority.
MLA Nazir Ahmad Gurezi urged for taking necessary steps for
rehabilitation of the affected people in Bandipora and Gurez
due to the
Kishan Ganga Hydro Electric Project.
