Div Com directes DCs to ensure that essential commodities are sold at rates fixed by Govt.

 

Rate of milk has been fixed for Srinagar city only & is not applicable to other areas.

            Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure that essential commodities are available at rates fixed by Government. He gave instructions to Director CAPD Kashmir and all DCs to ensure that Chicken, Mutton and other essential commodities like Milk are sold at the rates fixed by Government.

It has further been clarified that the rate of Milk sold in open has been fixed at Rs 21 per litre only for areas falling under Srinagar Municipal areas and is not applicable to areas other than Srinagar city. The respective Deputy Commissioners are authorised to fix the rate of milk in their jurisdiction in their capacity as Controller of Rates.
